Opinion:

Ready for some nasty techno? There are few labels that actually release true quality techno because, let`s face it, to make danceable music from machine sounds is not an easy job. Trapez is the sub-label of Traumschallplatten and, for over 123 releases, it still stands as a landmark of techno. Roland M. Dill is not a stranger from Trapez as this is his 4th EP released from the Trapez 100 compilation until today.
We got 4 tracks and 2 remixes. Starting from top, we have a paradox. The Evil is very good sample of what should we expect from a top techno label, and The Good is strange to say the least, meant to be an intermezzo track and presenting no beat whatsoever (I would ask the Beatport guys how did they calculate the BPM with no beats around?!?). Thank God that The Ugly retains the qualities of the first track, plus a dose of madness. And we come across another paradox. The Bad is not bad at all, being more "relaxing" (compared to the first tracks) up until the grand finale. Ronan Portela`s remix is very good, quite calm and with a scent of tech-house, while Van Bonn`s view on The Evil is indeed dark and gruesome (but very cool also:) ). So, with the exception of The Good that is kinda out of place, a very interesting techno addition to my collection.
