You must not be a superstar to make very good electronic music. I love this genre because there are so many artists that have a chance of expressing themselves. And when recognition comes from guys like Luciano, Richie Hawtin and Paco Osuna, you know you're on the right path.
Cosmic Disco is one of the labels that support new talents, while maintaining the 'quality not quantity' rule. Its a pure joy to listen to their releases, and this includes the latest one, entitled Seams. It is composed of 4 deep-house tracks, remembering the good old days, when this type of music was born in the USA. From a more chilled-out Seams, to the playful bass-line of Avenida Las Noches, to the dreamy feel of Roller King, to the more funky Public Enemies, the EP is a really nice thing to listen to. And I hope my neighbours enjoyed it as well, as I had to play it with full volume. Out tomorrow (1st) in major stores.
