Opinion:
Waiting for the weekend dj set by duo Booka Shade (which I will attend) I wanted to review a remix EP of one of my favorite tracks from the German producers, entitled Charlotte. It was featured on their LP, The Sun & The Neon Light, which hit the shelves in 2008. Also I did attend their live performance tour when they were in Bucharest.
This vinyl is packed with 4 remixes, 2 signed by Booka Shade (on the A side) and 2 by Deep Dish`s Dubfire and by Matchbox. This is some awesome stuff if you liked the kinda short song on the LP. Each of the tracks twists in it`s own way the main sound theme of Charlotte, culminating with the rough but exceptional remix made in the Dubfire-style. You can actually know his remix because it is very close to his particular sound used in his dj sets. Visually we have the same artwork on the front and back (Booka Shade written with a kind of child`s cube game) and a rainbow on each of the labels. Listen to the tracks and get physical ;)
