I had the pleasure of hearing this record a few days before it went into the stores and, as always, I was amazed by the skill of the UnderGroundLoopHole (UGLH) duo. Their new EP contains 2 original tracks and 2 remixes for each.
Their main track gives the name of the whole EP, and it uses the beautiful vocals of Miss O Lee. The whole track is based on the contrast of the rough beat and the sharp percussion versus the female voice and the keys that precede it`s entry. I am a fan of contrasting tracks, just remember the Robag Wruhme remix of Kollektiv Turmstrasse`s Heimat (find it here). Mobius Strum`s view of Olga is a bit darker, with echoed vocals and a more tribal sound attached to it. DZeta N` Basile lighten the atmosphere with a very cool and wild bass-line in an excellent house groove. With the added distortion effects, the track just welcomes you to dance.
With cropped vocals and a mad set of keys, Raw Colors will definitely shake the club. And when you thought it could not get any better, Saraceni & Dema increase the BPM and put more accent on the groovy bass than the original keys. Fabiano Bion remix maintains the strong points of the original mix, but sadly does not get to the level of the original or the Dema remix. In the end, I just hope to listen to this in the club, on a system bigger than mine :) And btw, the only Youtube link I leave is my mix, done with the 6 tracks mentioned above. Hope you like it:
